Roma 21/05/22 | Doctorwine
On Saturday 21 May in Rome Doctorwine, by Daniele Cernilli, in the new spaces of the Caffetteria Massimo at the Capitoline Museums Centre, presented the new Guide “Wines for Summer” 2022: “a precious little book, made of tastings, advice and little stories which tell about the wonderful world of Italian wine”.
The event also featured a large area dedicated to tastings where we were present with our iconic products: Ius Naturae Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Biologico Millesimato, Gran Cuvée del Fondatore Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut Millesimato Rive San Pietro di Barbozza and Superiore di Cartizze Valdobbiadene DOCG Dry Millesimato.
From 13 to 15 May, Sanremo was the scene of the regatta in the national class RS21 competition, the second of 5 stages. This prestigious event was hosted by the Sanremo Yacht Club.
Round 2 of the RS21 Cup Yamamay too involves regattas with “zero environmental impact”, in which the construction and choice of materials for the craft, the choice of electric motors and the use of technologies that help to reduce CO2 emissions are the future in this sport.
The food and beverages were also carefully selected with the focus on sustainability: Bortolomiol had the pleasure of presenting the winner on the podium with its IUS NATURAE Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato, our “cuore Bio”, which was also served throughout the celebratory brunch.

Parco della Filandetta | Wine&Art Farm
During the second half of May, the Parco della Filandetta Wine&Art Farm will host the Portuguese artist Inês Coelho da Silva, who will be in residence for some weeks. Valuable time that the artist will use to immerse herself in the territory and the history of our winery to gain an awareness of the work undertaken by mankind here over the course of time. This commission spanning the world of wine and art will result in a new work, the product of an international vision that the artist will assimilate into her creation.
“We strongly believe in art as a cultural message that the wine can feed on” states Maria Elena Bortolomiol, President of the Winery, “and the Parco della Filandetta is the perfect place for this synergy to emerge, bringing together our environmental, social and economic sustainability projects, in a container, the Wine&Art Farm, that has put down solid roots in the heart of the Appellation”.
The work of art, which will be unveiled for the first time on 27 May, will be open to the public on 29 May for the Open Wineries event, it will then become a permanent feature of the Park, joining the existing works of art and offering visitors the opportunity to explore the content on the Art and Nature Tour, which can be booked on the website.
Parco della Filandetta
Sunday 29 May sees the return of the much-awaited Open Wineries event, organised by the Movimento Turismo del Vino. For the occasion the Parco della Filandetta opens its doors for a truly exceptional day, where art becomes entwined with the world of wine.
A new art work will be on display to the public for the first time, the product of the second International Artist in Residence. During the second half of May Bortolomiol will in fact host the Portuguese artist Inês Coelho da Silva, who will create an art work which will then become a permanent feature in the Parco della Filandetta.
The artist will be available during Sunday morning to talk about her artistic vision and the connection with the world of wine, and in particular with the history of Bortolomiol and the Parco della Filandetta.
Guided tours of the cellar will take place at 10.30 and at 15.30 to be followed by a walk through the park, among the works of art and the organic vineyard, accompanied by Giuliana Bortolomiol, who will illustrate the Winery’s sustainability projects.
Guests will be able to sample our Ius Naturae Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut organic wine while surrounded by greenery, then they will enter the old silk mill and continue the tasting session, seated this time, of the 70th Anniversary Rive di Col San Martino Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Limited Edition Extra Brut and the Bandarossa Special Edition Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry. Bortolomiol celebrates the centenary of the birth of its founder, Giuliano.
27 February 1922 – 27 February 2022. A hundred years have passed since the birth of Giuliano Bortolomiol in Valdobbiadene, a name destined to write an important chapter in the history of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. After attending the Conegliano School of Oenology, Giuliano decided to stay in his native land to rebuild what the war had destroyed. And to do so starting from the wine.
Among the founders of the Protection Consortium, Giuliano is the first to believe that this wine expresses itself at its best in the Brut version, with very low residual sugar, at a time when the Extra Dry and Dry versions dominate. A premonition therefore which today the winery celebrates with an equally innovative initiative, the Centenary Tour. At the Parco della Filandetta – Wine&Art Farm Bortolomiol will illustrate to wine lovers and industry professionals “the other side” of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG: that of a long living wine able to stand the test of time to become enriched with ever more complex notes. Throughout the year.
Richard Baudains, the long-standing writer for the English publication, visited the Parco della Filandetta Wine&Art Farm last summer, and tasted different vintages of our Extra Brut to fully understand the longevity of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
Baudains gave the highest score of 94 points to the 70th Anniversary 2020 Rive di Col San Martino Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Click on the link below to download and read the complete article.
