Rome: At Sparkle Day 2015, the Superiore di Cartizze Bortolomiol awarded with the 5 Sfere

On Saturday November 21st in the beautiful rooms of the Westin Excelsior Hotel in Via Veneto in Rome was held the sixth edition of the largest tasting of Italian sparkling wines which was also attended by Bortolomiol to receive the “5 Sfere” awarded for the fourth time to the Superiore di Cartizze. The Sparkle Guide, edited by renowned food and wine magazine ‘Cucina & Vini’, rewards the top labels of the national production of sparkling wines.

Over 80 of the best Italian manufacturers of dry sparkling wines have met in the Italian capital giving life to a great tasting with more than 150 labels available to be tasted. During the SparkleDAY the fourteenth edition of the Sparkle guide has also been presented. This is the only guide in Italy entirely dedicated to the world of bubbles, and since 2001 it testifies the growth of this sector of Italian wine production.

As usual, during the presentation of the new edition of the guide, took place the ceremony of the companies awarded with the 5 Sfere, including Bortolomiol. “Receiving for the fourth consecutive year this award – said Elvira Bortolomiol, present at the event – is a source of pride, but not only. It’s also a stimulus for us to continue working in this way, in order to maintain a standard of quality that demonstrates to be continuously appreciated as we have seen today. In fact this year the category of Prosecco Superiore reached the second place with 17 awards: a sign that the good work of each company rewards then the whole Denomination. “

The event in Rome – which went live on the radio broadcast of Radio Capital ‘Non c’è duo senza te’, conducted by Mary Cacciola and Andrea Lucatello – has been a real great party that saw the protagonists the evening – the dry sparkling wines – being matched with many different proposals of street food.
