At 6pm on July 21st the opening of Giovanni Casellato’s exhibition at the Galleria Carré Doré in Monaco Casellato entitled “SCULTORE DELL’ANIMA” (sculptor of the soul) was held. The artist displayed two works dedicated to dance for the first time at the exhibition, which is being held under the patronage of the Italian Ambassador to Monaco S.E. Antonio Morabito.
The works will be on display until November 2011. For the opening, as for Cantine Aperte, the strong ties between Bortolomiol and the art world were once again much in evidence. Guests were treated to a taste of the best-known product of this historic winery’s native land, Prosecco Superiore in its most exclusive version, Bandarossa, the wine that Giuliano Bortolomiol kept for his closest friends.
Artist-Designer Giovanni Casellato graduated from the IUAV University in Venice. He has worked in design and sculpture for many years using iron as the basis for his work. His relationship with this material goes back to his childhood as he comes from a family of blacksmiths. This special synergy has led to his works being exhibited across the major cities of Europe as well as at the 2008 Venice Biennale. Some of his best known works are Gomitolo, Aquiloni di Filippo and Bar chette di Laila.
