VENICE FILM FESTIVAL – AWARD FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

The ceremony for the Equal Opportunities award presented by MP Mara Carfagna was held on Friday September 10th in the Tropicana Room at the Hotel Excelsior, Venice Lido, during the Film Festival. The award, created by veteran artist Maria Lai, was given to the film “La Venere Nera” (The Black Venus) and accepted by the film’s star, Yahima Torrès.

At the end of the ceremony the commission and Ms Carfagna celebrated with a glass of Filanda Rosè. On hand to fill the MP’s glass was Luisa Bortolomiol in her role as producer but above all, as co-owner of a company run solely by women - the daughters and wife of Giuliano Bortolomiol. This company is a perfect representation of the spirit of the award and Ms Carfagna was presented with a copy of the book “Il Sogno del Prosecco” (The Dream of Prosecco), a biography of Giuliano Bortolomiol. Among the illustrious guests who joined them in the celebration were, as well as the excellent leading lady from the film, Gigi Marzullo and Maria Lai.
