By next Christmas the Vendemmia 2009 Motus Vitae Millesimato, the Brut dedicated to founder Giuliano Bortolomiol, will be ready for drinking.
Just a few bottles of this truly special wine will be available for order from the Bortolomiol Winery starting from December.
In the words of Oenologist Ginafranco Zanon:
“The 2009 Motus Vitae DOCG was bottled in October 2009 after seven months of aging and resting on the yeasts in the autoclave. This process allows the sparkling wine to become more refined and take on an arrestingly elegant fragrance with a subtle hint of yeast.
The 2009 Motus Vitae DOCG is a dry sparkling wine with a refined, elegant character, a perfect expression of the excellent 2009 harvest.”
A selection of reviews:
VINI D’ITALIA (GAMBERO ROSSO)
The 2008 Motus Vitae, the wine dedicated to the founder of the winery and presented a year after harvest, performs extremely well. The aromas are, of course, more mature with a striking fruitiness while on the palate the wine reveals complexity and a marked tanginess.
DUEMILAVINI (AIS)
The lively silver of the bubbles gives way to a constant stream of variegated hints of flowers and fruits, immediately reflected in the sharp, restless flavour itself supported by its sui generis structure. The spumantizzazione (second fermentation) is very long.
